192.168.1.1 USERNAME, PASSWORD CHANGE
To make your router secure you need to change the default username and password which is usually very easy to crack. For Wi-Fi security, you must change the default SSID network name with a unique name.
Default username and password for most routers are:
- Username: admin
- Password: admin
Or
- Username: admin
- Password: password
Further, you should enable WPA2 and PSK for the Wi-Fi security. You should use an updated encrypted hard password for WPA2 and PSK to make the Wi-Fi safer.

HOW TO SETUP CISCO ROUTER USING 192.168.1.1
Step 1: Connect Cisco Router to PC
Step 2: Connect the adapter and turn on Router and PC.
Step 3: Open any Browser and type 192.168.1.1 and press Enter.
Step 4: Enter Cisco default username and password (admin-admin)
Step 5: Cisco Router Admin Page will open and now you can all the required settings for usage.
D-LINK ROUTER LOGIN SETUP
Step 1: Connect D-Link router to PC
Step 2: Connect the adapter
Step 3: Open any web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 and press enter
Step 4: D-Link router administrator will pop up. Now type in default username and password.
NETGEAR ROUTER LOGIN SETUP
Step 1: Plug Netgear router with your Windows PC
Step 2: Open any web browser and type 192.168.1.1 > Enter.
Step 3: Enter Router’s default username and password. Make the necessary wireless Settings.
TP-LINK ROUTER LOGIN SETUP
Step 1: Connect your TP-LINK Router with the PC with the RJ45 cable.
Step 2: Open any browser. Type 192.168.1.1 and press enter
Step 3: Enter default username and password as mentioned above.
Step 4: Router Admin page will open up. Now apply the required settings.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If you are facing issue while connecting Router then these could be the possible issues.
- The default IP address is not configured properly.
- The Incorrect IP address is used in the browser or wrong settings are set up.
- The router- PC connection has network issues.
- Restart your router properly. Hold the restart button for 10 seconds.
