Free resources from the design community can add value to your ecommerce site. Here is a list of new web tools and design elements from fall 2019. There are designer and developer apps, coding resources, color tools, fonts, and more. All of these tools are free, though some also offer premium versions.

Art of Symbols is an exploration of symbols from the design team at Emotive Brand, a consulting firm. It began as part of the #100DayProject, in which people commit to 100 days for exploring their creativity. The focus of this project is on how ancient symbols inform contemporary brand design.

Spectrum, Adobe’s new design system, provides components and tools to help product teams work efficiently and make Adobe’s applications cohesive. Download user-interface kits, Spectrum font families, and consistent icons. Use Spectrum CSS, an open-source implementation of Adobe’s design system.
Izmir is a free mini CSS library to create attractive, image-hover elements quickly. Load the CSS library into your project, and add the element markup combined with the style classes of your choice to build your custom image hover effect.

Quark is a software tool to help create projects written in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with native desktop app-like capabilities. Quark is built on top of the Electron framework. Built with simplicity in mind, Quark is easy to learn and accessible to anyone with basic programming skills.
8b is a free and simple online website builder to create fast, mobile-optimized, and Google-friendly websites. 8b uses templates and is helpful for those with no coding experience. The free version uses 8b.io subdomain and has ads. The premium version starts at $1.58 per month.
