Acer launches XR382CQK high-end 37.5-inch monitor

Acer has launched a big and beautiful new PC monitor called the XR382CQK bmijqphuzx. Among its highlighted qualities this 37.5-inch monitor offers an IPS panel with a curved UltraWide QHD resolution 21:9 aspect ratio widescreen. Furthermore, this display benefits from Adaptive Sync technology for stutter-free and tear-free gaming and a DTS Sound speaker system.

Without further ado I’ll sum up the new Acer monitor’s key specifications:

  • 37.5-inch UltraWide QHD (3440 x 1600) 2300R Curved Widescreen with Adaptive Sync Technology
  • In-plane Switching (IPS) Technology
  • Refresh Rate: 75Hz – Using Display Port
  • Response Time: 5ms
  • 1.07 Billion Colours, 100% sRGB coverage, and 6-axis colour adjustment
  • EyeProtect Flicker-less and Blue-light Filtering technology
  • PiP and PBP modes
  • Two built-in 7W DTS Sound speakers
  • Signal Inputs: 1 x Display Port, 1 x Mini Display Port, 1 x Display Port Out, 1 x HDMI 2.0 & 1 x MHL 2.1 (1x DP and 1x HDMI cable provided)
  • USB 3.0 hub (4 ports) with 1 x USB Type-C Cable provided

Acer’s XR range is aimed at the ‘entertainment’ segment. That’s quite a wide market target and looking at the specs this monitor should be suitable for a good range of activities. The amount of content you can get on screen and its physical size should both help you be productive. PiP and PbP modes are also nice to have on a screen of this size for productivity and flexibility. Furthermore, colour accuracy and control seem to be more than acceptable for non-pro use.

For gaming the response and refresh rates aren’t bad – with Adaptive Sync to smooth out gaming refresh jolts and jitters. Here you might also appreciate the 2300R curved screen immersion on offer and the “epic audio” from the built-in 7W DTS Sound speakers. Acer’s GameView tech is present, providing adjustable black levels, on-screen crosshairs, and quick change of refresh rates. The audio/visual combo should also be rather good for content consumption, enjoying music videos, YouTube and so on.

Acer claims its XR382CQK bmijqphuzx 37.5-inch monitor has a luxury design. The provided aluminium stand looks futuristic, but not overly so. This is enhanced with ambient lighting around the base. The stand offers tilt -5° to 35°, swivel 30°, and height 5.12-inch adjustment. I can’t see if its VESA mount compatible.

The new Acer XR382CQK should be available shortly at its hefty RRP of $1,299. It is listed at this price currently at Amazon.com but doesn’t seem to be in stock.
