AMD Ryzen Threadripper Zen 2 Geekbench score hits 4.17 GHz to rival 2950X, Ryzen 9 3900X & i9-9900K
notebookcheck.net reports that the listing spotted again by @momomo_us, has the 32 core chip peaking at 4.17 GHz, which is just shy of what the Threadripper 2xxx series can reach.
The Geekbench browser lists a 32-core “100-000000011-11” chip, with 32 cores and 64 threads. But the chip is also identified as an “AuthenticAMD Family 23 Model 49 Stepping 0,” code-named Sharkstooth, a member of the AMD Ryzen family. The CPU northbridge is also identified as a Ryzen part. The chip itself has a base clock of 2.2GHz, and a maximum frequency of 4.17GHz.
Geekbench listing reports the processor as having a 2.2 GHz base clock, which is well short of the 3.6 GHz that previous AMD Sharkstooth processors have been operating at, and 1.3 GHz shy of the Threadripper 2950X.
The Zen 2 Threadripper only scores around 2,143 per core in multi-core tasks. By contrast, the Core i9-9900K scores double per core in the same benchmark, with the Ryzen 9 3900X scoring around 12% than the AMD Sharkstooth too.
