Following the release of iPadOS 13.4 Apple has now issued updates for iMovie, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. All four apps now support trackpad or mouse connected to iPads.
All of the apps are available to download from the App Store now, but support for trackpads is just the start. All apps – with the exception of iMovie – now also support iCloud Drive shared folders to make it easier than ever to collaborate on projects.
This is something that is understandably important right now, with more and more people working remotely during the coronavirus pandemic.
There are plenty of other changes of note with keyboard shortcuts also getting a ton of attention in these updates. Alongside the new trackpad support, improved support for keyboard shortcuts is an important thing for those who are using iPads as PC replacements. Any chance to avoid tapping the screen is one that should be taken.
