Has your iPhone 11 display stopped responding to touch? This is a known issue affecting a small percentage of iPhone 11 displays and the good news is, Apple will now provide a display replacement service to all affected customers globally at no charge.
As detailed in the support document on Apple’s website, titled “iPhone 11 Display Module Replacement Program for Touch Issues”, some iPhone 11 units made between November 2019 and May 2020 may exhibit touch issues stemming from a faulty display module.
Use the provided serial number checker to see if your device is eligible for a display replacement. “If so, Apple or an authorized service provider will provide service, free of charge,” reads the document. Already paid to have your phone service? Contact Apple for a refund.
To have your device serviced, find an Apple Authorized Service Provider or make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store or contact Apple Support to arrange mail-in service via the Apple Repair Center. Apple will examine your phone to verify it’s eligible for this program.
If your iPhone 11 has any damage which impairs the ability to complete the repair, such as a cracked screen, that issue will need to be resolved prior to the service. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the additional repair.
The program covers affected devices for two years after the first retail sale of the unit.
