Assassin’s Creed III has been rated by PEGI for Xbox One

It looks like Assassin’s Creed Rogue won’t be the only title getting the HD treatment going by a rating from PEGI. Today, Assassin’s Creed III received a PEGI rating that outed its existence on Xbox One.

According to its rating page, it will be PEGI rated 18 for “Extreme violence – Multiple, motiveless killing – Violence towards defenceless people – Strong language.” The page does not contain any other information other than the game’s name and console for which it was rated; Xbox One.

Ubisoft has not officially announced any remaster or port for Assassin’s Creed III on current-gen consoles. Just last month, it was revealed that Assassin’s Creed Rogue is getting remastered for Xbox One in March. If this rating for Assassin’s Creed III is indeed a remaster and not a port, we can likely expect similar enhancements to what Rogue and The Ezio Collection received; higher resolution textures and shadows, improved environmental rendering, and new visual effects. Possibly even full 4K support on Xbox One X. Its expansions packs will likely be included in the package as well.

Assassin’s Creed III first released in 2012 and concluded Desmond’s story arc. Through the eyes of Connor Kenway during the American Revolution, Desmond raced against time to save the world from a solar flare that threatened the Earth in 2012. Up until Origins released, it was the last major Assassin’s Creed game to feature a 3rd-person controllable protagonist.

The Xbox 360 version of Assassin’s Creed III is currently backward compatible on Xbox One.
