ASUS PN65 Mini-PC Leaks Out With Intel’s 14th Gen Meteor Lake CPUs Rated At 28W

June 4, 2023 by justin26

ASUS's next-gen PN65 Mini PC has been listed which features the upcoming Intel 14th Gen Meteor Lake CPU with Arc graphics.

ASUS's Next-Gen "PN65" Will Feature Intel's 14th Gen Meteor Lake CPUs In A Small Form Factor Design

The next-gen ASUS Mini-PC is expected to be named "ExpertCenter PN65". According to the leaked specifications sheet, the Intel 14th Gen Meteor Lake CPU will consume 28W, much lower than the previous generation, the PN64, which used 45W. This is due to the fact that the H-series consumes slightly higher power than the standard U/P series parts.

The ASUS PN65 Mini PC will also support DDR5-5600 memory with total capacity support of up to 64GB (2x32 GB DIMMs). As for storage, ASUS will provide 2x M.2 2280 slots compatible with PCIe Gen 4 and an additional 2.5' space for smaller HDDs; hence, you will get 6 TB of storage capacity. The Mini-PC will feature all high-end connectivity with 2.5G internet, Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity, and Bluetooth 5.2.

In terms of the design of the ASUS PN65, it will boast a black textured surface with no design change from its previous generation. The PC will have an I/O at the front and the back for extended connectivity. The front ports will have 1 USB 3.2 Type-C and 2 USB 3.2 Type-A connections. There will also be an RGB indicator to inform consumers about the PC's power status.

The back I/O ports will feature one USB 3.2 and two older USB 2.0 ports. It will also include the unique 3.2 Gen 2 port with DisplayPort 1.4, all into a Type-C connection. Seeing how small the Mini-PC is, you are getting a lot of connectivity here, which will be more than enough for an average consumer.

The actual benchmarks of the unreleased PN65 are yet to be determined. However, you may probably get a ballpark figure for the Mini-PC's performance by looking at prior leaks about Meteor Lake mobile CPUs. The Mini-PC's retail pricing and release date remain unknown, but we anticipate the manufacturer will announce these details soon enough.

The Mini-PC industry is becoming more competitive, particularly with firms like ASRock introducing their high-end DeskMeet series geared toward the next-generation AMD Ryzen 7000 APUs that will be available later this year. Companies are making great strides in squeezing maximum the overall performance out of small form-factor PCs, thanks mainly to the newest releases from Intel & AMD.
