PUBG developer Bluehole Studio has shared some details about the upcoming release of the game on Xbox One and the full PC release.

The developer shared the ‘road to launch’ in a new post on the game’s Steam page. As the game is currently in early-access for PC, the focus is on developing builds for the full 1.0 release on PC. Additionally, the development team is working hard to make the game for a release on Xbox One through the Xbox Game Preview program.

“For PC, we will be only focusing on doing our best to stabilize the launch build and we don’t have any plans to deploy patches to live servers except for this week”, Bluehole writes. “However, there will be features like vaulting and climbing which will have a huge impact on the game and need to be tested for at least a month. We will be running test servers at least three times in preparation for that.”

Down below you’ll find PUBG’s ‘Test Server Operation Plan’ for the coming months:

1st phase: Focus on testing vaulting & climbing 2nd phase: More testing of vaulting & climbing, test other new content and features 3rd phase: All new content and features including the desert map

According to Bluehole, the tested content and features will need to be tested for at least 2 to 4 weeks, and players will be able to try out vaulting and climbing for the first time by the end of this month or early November.

No actual release date for Xbox and PC have been provided so far, but based on Bluehole’s testing plan, a release before December seems unlikely.

PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS was released for PC in early-access this March. The Xbox One version was announced during Microsoft’s 2017 E3 press conference. The multiplayer game is a timed-exclusive for Microsoft, and recent reports suggest that the publisher is trying to extend their exclusivity deal with Bluehole.
