Microsoft Is Updating Windows 10 Mail App With New Features for Insiders

Windows 10 Mail app

Microsoft recently released a new update for the default Windows 10 Mail app to Windows Insiders that brings a few new touch related features such as a Drawing Canvas, the ability annotate pictures, and new ink effects.

The most interesting feature is the Drawing Canvas, which allows users to insert an area into an email where they can draw, sketch, and doodle a picture and send it to a recipient. This feature supports both using a pen or selecting “Draw with Touch” in order to use your fingers.

The two other new features allow you to annotate images in an email or use ink effects from new pens.

The app has been updated to version 16006.10228.20108.0 for Windows Insiders and the Ink feature is included in the draw tab within the Mail app. All these features are currently available for Insiders with a touch-capable Windows 10 device. Useful features for business

These features, though fun, are also extremely useful for business users. Users can now send images and easily annotate them to point out a change, show something to a potential client, or indicate a problem without having to use a dedicate image editing application.

The Drawing Canvas is also useful as it allows users to send quick sketches or design ideas directly within Mail without have to use a 3rd party application.
