Cyberpunk 2077 Developers Release Official Modding Tools To Help Players Fix Their Game

CD Projekt Red has released official modding support tools for Cyberpunk 2077, so players can create unique content themselves to fix, and improve, the game on their own.

The open-world RPG action-adventure game released in December to what can only be described best as mixed reception. The game was riddled with bugs, glitches, crashes and poor performance on old-gen consoles (PS4, Xbox One) – the platform which most people would be playing the game on. The PC version meanwhile was still relatively a better experience, and you can read more about that in our review by clicking here.

In the time since release, many modders have taken it upon themselves to fix the game. Among the hundreds of mods already available, many of them have gone on to fix basic mechanics within the game. With CDPR officially releasing mod tools, we can expect more frequent, and significant mods alongside the developers’ own official patches for the game. The Polish developer published an official apology for the game’s messy launch and currently plans to release fixes over the rest of the year, with free DLC and next-gen console upgrades coming in the second half of 2021.

You can access the list of Cyberpunk 2077 mod support tools on the game’s website here.
