Apple is very secretive when it comes to its unannounced products. Therefore, it is not surprising that even just hours ahead of its “Hello again” event, nothing official is known about the specifics of its new MacBooks. There isn’t even the slightest hint on when consumers can expect the new Macs to hit Apple store shelves.
Interessant, 9To5Mac has discovered something that could be a major clue on when Apple plans to start selling its new Mac hardware. Basing on the idea that Apple store employees set up line dividers ahead of the release of new products, the Apple-centric news site is assuming that the tech giant could release its new laptops today.
Citing a post from a Reddit user who noticed that an Apple store in San Francisco has set up line dividers, 9To5Mac claims that this is an indication that the new Mac devices could be displayed in stores or that something else could go on sale today.
In the Reddit thread, another user pointed out that an Apple store in Hawaii has also set up line dividers. Many immediately gave their two cents on the assumption that Apple is releasing its new Macs this Thursday. Some users claimed that it’s typical for Apple to have same-day releases for its Mac products. Meanwhile, others speculate that TechCrunch’s report about the delay in the release of the AirPods could be erroneous and that the wireless earbuds could go on sale today.
Since there is no way of finding out what Apple has in store for today aside from the launch of its new MacBook Pros, MacBook Air and new Apple TV guide app at this point in time, fans are advised to tune in to Apple’s “Hello again” event that will commence at 10 a.m. PT for the official announcements straight from the horse’s mouth.
Apple’s online store is currently down. CNET reports the page was taken offline in preparation for the unveiling of the new MacBooks. The Cupertino giant just left a note on its webpage that reads: “We’ve got something special in store for you, and we can’t wait for you to see it.”
