Microsoft video dives deeper into everything you need to know about the Surface Go 2
Microsoft just launched the Surface Go 2, but the company is now giving you a look at all the technical aspects you need to know about the device. Indeed, a new video from the Microsoft Mechanics team is providing a deeper dive into the overall design, performance, and battery life of the latest entry to the Microsoft Surface family.

One of the biggest highlights of the video is what it reveals about the Surface Go 2’s eighth-gen Intel Core M3-8100Y processor. Microsoft says it is 64% faster than the one in the Surface Go, though it didn’t provide any specific benchmarks to back the claim.
Other highlights in the video mention the Surface Go 2’s new design: That includes its slimmer bezels and a larger 10.5-inch multi-touch display. Interestingly, Microsoft also points out to what it is calling “a new refactored design,” on the Surface Go 2, such as an all-new hinge and an antenna cover.
In other areas, the video provides a look at the insides of the Surface Go 2. Segments look at cutaways of the larger 27 watt-hour battery, the SSD, as well as the RAM. We also get a look at the TPM 2.0 chip, which is exclusive to the Surface Go for Business models, for providing enterprise-grade security, and an on-board NFC and RFID chip. Of course, the video does explain the optional LTE and GPS support as well, via eSIM, or a dedicated SIM Card.
Support for LTE, the new front-facing 1080p 5 megapixel Windows Hello front-facing camera (and 8 MP rear camera), dual far-field studio microphones are some of the other things mentioned in the video. There’s also the USB-C port and fast charge via the Surface Connect port, as well.
