Maling ved hjælp af Windows 10 computers is about to get more engaging as Microsoft is reportedly creating a new Paint app with more advanced features.
Ifølge MSPowerUser, the Redmond giant is in the process of completing a major update for its standard Paint tool. Microsoft started working on the redesigned app back in May and now it appears that it is ready to launch the new app to the public.
The new Paint tool is said to come with the regular painting features present in the previous version. What makes it interesting is the inclusion of 3D drawing support that makes it easy for users to create 3D content.
The Verge reports users will be able to make 3D objects and freely annotate them in the new Paint app. As part of this feature, Microsoft has also added a variety of markers, art tools and brushes that can be used in making and enhancing 3D objects.
Making it easier for users to draw or paint using the app, all of the tools are said to be pen- and touch-friendly. Also, the interface combines 3D models, 2D images, stickers and community tools to ensure that the user experience is enjoyable and quite friendly.
Teasing on what users can expect from the redesigned Paint app, a couple of promotional materials have been leaked recently on social media. One of promo clips leaked by Twitter user WalkingCat reportedly shows the new interface of the app and the 3D drawing feature.
Another leaked video appears to serve as a tutorial on how to do 3D editing using the upcoming updated app. In this video, the Surface Pen is also featured, as per GSM Arena.
Unfortunately, there’s no official word yet on when users can expect the release of the new Paint app, but given the timing of the leaks, several tech sites believe that the redesigned tool could be announced during Microsoft’s Oct. 26 event, alongside the company’s new hardware.
