Darktable 2.2.5 released. Install Darktable in Ubuntu via PPA and install Darktable via Snap in Ubuntu. Darktable for Ubuntu is an open source photography workflow application and raw developer.
Darktable works as a virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers and can be used to manage digital negatives in a database, to view them through a zoomable lighttable and to develop raw images and enhance them.

Install Darktable 2.2.5 on Ubuntu via PPA
Open Terminal and run the following commands in Terminal to install Darktable 2.2.5 on Ubuntu:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pmjdebruijn/darktable-unstable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install darktable
Install Darktable 2.2.5 on Ubuntu via Snap
Run the following commands in Terminal to install Darktable 2.2.5 via Snap:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install snapd snapd-xdg-open
sudo snap install darktable-empanada --classic
/snap/bin/darktable-empanada
Once installed, open Darktable from Ubuntu Dash or Terminal.
