The Final Fantasy XV hype train keeps on a-trucking. On top of season passes, collector’s editions, an anime, a movie, a mobile game, a separate console game and more, what else have we got coming to the Final Fantasy XV expanded universe? Why, another mobile game, this time from mobile game developer Machine Zone.
While the developer hasn’t released details about how the Final Fantasy XV free-to-play mobile MMO will work, it has cited its popular original title Game of War: Fire Age as inspiration.
Game of War: Fire Age lets players link up with text-based chat options as well as PvP, PvE and resource-based farming missions, all of which players can group up on together. It remains to be seen how closely Machine Zone will hew to its inspiration, though Game of War: Fire Age ’s formula has certainly been successful.
While there’s no release date for the tie-in app (nor even a title), the full Final Fantasy XV game launches Nov. 29 on PS4 and Xbox One. Catch up on your Final Fantasy XV news below:
