2] Something went wrong. We are working on it. Please try again in a bit.

While trying to access the premium videos from the Hotstar application, several users reported getting this particular error message. Typically, this error could pop up due to some script conflict on the server end, like too much traffic, or some issue with the browser or some third-party add-on integrated with the browser which is preventing some scripts to run. To fix this error we suggest you try the below:

  • Check your network connection
  • Install a different browser
  • Try using Chrome in Incognito or Private browsing mode
  • Clear your Chrome Cache and browsing data
  • Flush your DNS
  • Check Firewall permission on your system
  • Update network drivers
  • Reinstall application

The exact root cause of the issue isn’t known, this is exactly why Disney+HS_helps throws generic responses without any particular error code.

Please note – Supported browsers are Chrome (ver 75.x and above), Firefox (ver 70.x and above). You might face issues on other browsers like Brave, Opera, etc.

3] Hotstar error HP-4030: This content is not available in your region.

If you are seeing this error message on your screen, it indicates that your internet connection is hosted with a Hosting Provider/data center. In such a scenario, the content would not work on Wi-Fi. In simple words, if you are trying to connect via a VPN, proxy, or “unblocker” service, then the content playback will fail and you will not be able to stream or download some movies and TV shows. There are few first remedial measures to resume video play on Hotstar, you can try the below:

  • Disable any VPN or proxy that route your internet traffic outside of your current region and try Disney+ Hotstar again.
  • Set your network settings to ‘Automatic’

If you have disabled proxies, VPNs, or other routing software and still see this error, contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

4] Hotstar error DR-1100: Error playing this content due to DRM issues.

DRM denotes Digital Rights Management. It’s the software that permits the playback of the copyrighted content material. Now since most of Hotstar’s content is DRM protected it doesn’t allow any of its content being copied, transferred, or modified in any way. If you see error DR-1100 it possibly indicates that you are trying to view copyrighted content without a valid subscription. To view DRM protected content, you will need to have a valid subscription and also a device/app that supports DRM.

If you’ve tried all the above and the problem persists, then contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
