Like other built-in apps, at times, the Calculator app refuses to open or crashes as soon as the app is launched. If you are having issues with the Calculator app in Windows 10, the following solutions might help you fix the Calculator.

Reset the Calculator app

There is a provision in Windows 10 to reset apps. You can use the same to reset the Calculator app. Microsoft recommends resetting an app if the app is not working. So, here is how to do that.

Step 1: Open Settings. Navigate to System > Apps & features. If you are on Windows 10 Creators Update (build 14997 or later), you need to navigate to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.

Step 2: Look for the Calculator app entry. Select the Calculator app by clicking or tapping on it. You should now see the Advanced options link. Click Advanced options link to open Storage usage and app reset page.

Step 3: Here, click the Reset button. And when you see the confirmation dialog, click the Reset button again to reset the Calculator app.

Reinstall the Calculator in Windows 10

If the issue persists even after resetting the app, you can consider reinstalling Calculator. Since Windows 10 doesn’t offer an easy way to uninstall the Calculator, you need to either use the PowerShell or a third-party tool such as CCleaner to uninstall the app before installing the same from the Store.
