Got a Busted Galaxy Phone? Samsung Has a Quick Fix

Samsung Care

Getting a broken phone fixed can be stressful. Samsung wants to make the process a little more convenient.

Starting tomorrow, Galaxy users can bring their busted mobile devices to more than 300 Samsung Care-authorized uBreakiFix service locations across the country for same-day repairs, Samsung announced. You can head there for front and back screen replacements, battery replacements, port and camera repairs, and other “in and out-of-warranty support services” to the following phones: the Galaxy S9 and S9+, Galaxy S8 and S8+, Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, Galaxy S6 and S6+, and Galaxy Note8 and Note5.

Samsung said most in-person repairs can be completed “within two hours or less.”

To use this service, you can either schedule an appointment online, or just head to an authorized uBreakiFix service location and drop off your device. All uBreakiFix technicians are Samsung-certified and “use genuine Samsung parts,” and tools for the repairs.

“Unauthorized repairs and parts can make a problem worse or even create a new one,” the company warned.

Samsung said “the majority” of the continental US population lives within a 30-mile radius of an authorized uBreakiFix service location. Plus, the companies plan to add almost 200 additional service locations by early 2019.

“At Samsung, our goal is to provide Samsung Galaxy owners with a customer first care experience that is as innovative as our products,” Samsung Care Senior Vice President Michael Lawder said in a statement. “This announcement marks a fundamental shift in our care offerings to consumers and underscores our commitment to provide Samsung customers with support anywhere, anytime our customers need it.”
