Developer 343 Industries is sharing a Halo Infinite campaign overview on Oct. 25, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. ET. The footage will shared at the video below:
The footage appears to be around six minutes in length. Halo Infinite’s campaign hasn’t been seen since the July 2020 gameplay showcase, outside of a brief cinematic that was shown during E3 2021. The last several months have seen the developers focusing on technical tests for the multiplayer portion of the game, which is completely free-to-play and supports 120 FPS on Xbox Series X.
Halo Infinite is currently slated to launch on Dec. 8, 2021 for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC. Like all first-party Xbox titles, it’ll be available in Xbox Game Pass day one. The launch date isn’t the end of support for the game however, with 343 Industries comitting to post-launch additions such as ray tracing.
Head of creative Joseph Staten previously addressed concerns over the campaign not being seen in the last few months, comparing it to landing an aircraft and the team needing time to make sure the game was in as good a shape as possible.
The multiplayer is also expected to evolve over time through seasons and battle passes, with the list of multiplayer maps in Halo Infinite growing as time goes on. Forge and campaign co-op are two other big additions that are currently slated to arrive six and three months after launch, respectively.
A new journey awaits
The next big adventure
Halo Infinite will hopefully be an incredible game filled with wonder, adventure, and more. Based on the beta and what was seen at E3 2021 and Gamescom, it looks like Halo Infinite will be a blast.
