Here’s How You Can Get Google Pixel 2’s Launcher App On Your Current Phone [Download]

Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Optics: Here’s How Both Phones Have the Highest Rated Cameras by DxOMark Despite a Single Lens

Google recently unveiled the much-awaited Pixel 2 lineup. Both the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are good smartphones, but they are not a substantial upgrade from the last year’s Pixel phones. On the software front, there are few exclusive offerings with the Pixel 2 phones, but some of these goodies can be ported to other Android devices. There is already an app dubbed “At A Glance” that brings the new Pixel Launcher’s calendar/weather widget, but now there is a way to get the bottom search bar too.

Pixel Launcher from Pixel 2 can be installed on many Android devices. It is compatible with phones running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and above. XDA Developers tested the SDK on Pixel XL running Android 8.0 and Galaxy Note 8 running Android 7.1 Nougat, and it seems to work seamlessly on these devices.

It’s worth noting that Google Now panel may not work if you install the official Pixel 2 Launcher version on your non-Google smartphone. However, a new modified version of the Pixel 2 Launcher adds the support for the Google Now panel on your non-Google phone. After installing the launcher, you will find a slight animation when you swipe up, similar to the iOS animation.

Here’s what you got to do:

First, you need to download the Pixel Launcher from the link given below. You just have to install it after downloading; it does not require rooting, just clean install right here. If you already have Pixel Launcher installed on your phone, then this version will just install over it.
