Honor’s top manager Wang Biao shared with reporters the details of the development of the company’s new smartphones. In his interview, he spoke about proprietary technologies, as well as research that helps the vendor in creating digital technology.
Honor says the company has a number of imaging and optimization technologies at its disposal for the respective dedicated chips. The company notes that most of Honor’s product developers are members of the HUAWEI Terminal team that pioneered the brand’s formation.
The team’s tasks include overseeing the underlying chips, algorithms, research and development that enable the brand to gain a foothold in the mobile market. The top executive said that due to the increased demands on the quality and capabilities of mobile photography, key experts familiar with NPU, ISP and image processing algorithms were brought together to work on the flagship Honor Magic line.
The company’s strong R&D team allows Honor to live up to the bar that competitors have set to meet consumer demand. Representatives of the company emphasized that the new flagship will receive an “iconic” design, enhanced visualization capabilities, and will be able to surpass the HUAWEI Mate and P series, maximizing the potential of the platform used.
