In this post, we will show you how to enable and use Command Palette in Microsoft Edge on a Windows 11/10 computer. This feature helps to access and use DevTools commands as well as other browser features. For example, you can use Command Palette to toggle Developer Tools, trigger actions like open dedicated DevTools for Node, clear browsing data, bookmark all tabs, show Microsoft Edge Task Manager, apps manager, use QR Code, show bookmark manager, and lots more. These are the steps to enable Command Palette in the Microsoft Edge browser on a Windows 11/10 computer:
- Open the Edge browser
- Type
edge://flagsin its address bar - Use the Enter key to open the Experiments page
- Search for Command Palette option
- Select the Enabled option available in the drop-down menu of the Command Palette option
- Use the Restart button available on the bottom right part of Microsoft Edge.
That’s it! Now Command Palette can be activated whenever you need it. In case you need to disable or turn off the Command Palette feature of Microsoft Edge anytime, you can set the Command Palette option to Default mode on the Experiments page and restart your browser.

How to use Command Palette in Microsoft Edge
For using Command Palette in Microsoft Edge, open it or activate it by pressing the Ctrl+Shift+Space hotkey. This will open a search box where you can type some keyword or a letter. After that, the search results will show you a list of actions accordingly and instantly. For some actions, it will also show you the associated shortcut key or hotkey. If you want, you can also type > to see all actions related to DevTools.
To execute an action, first, use the up and down arrow keys or mouse cursor to select an action, and then press the Enter key or left mouse button. This will trigger the selected action. Or else, simply use the associated hotkey (if available).
How do I access the Command Palette?
If you want to access Command Palette in Microsoft Edge, you can do that using the Ctrl+Shift+Space hotkey. How do I enable the console in Edge?
To open the DevTools console in Microsoft Edge, first, open the DevTools (Developer tools) using the F12 hotkey. Or else, you can also use Ctrl+Shift+I hotkey. This will open DevTools with the Console tab directly. If not, you can switch to the Console tab in order to use it. Furthermore, you can also change language, theme, panel layout, etc., as per your needs. For that, right-click on the Console tab and select Configure console option.
