With default settings, you cannot mirror iOS device on your Windows 10 PC as Windows operating system does not come with an AirPlay receiver. You will need an AirPlay receiver to begin mirroring iOS device screen on a Windows PC.

LonelyScreen acts as Airplay receiver when installed on a Windows PC. So, all you need to do is install the free LonelyScreen on your Windows 10 PC to start mirroring your iOS device screen to Windows 10 PC screen.

Complete the given below directions to mirror your iPhone display on your Windows 10 PC’s display.

Step 1: First of all, turn on Wi-Fi on your iPhone/iPad as well as on your Windows 10 PC, and make sure that both iPhone/iPad and Windows 10 PC are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Step 2: On your PC, visit the official page of LonelyScreen and download LonelyScreen installer. Run the downloaded setup file to install the software on your PC.

Step 3: Upon installing LonelyScreen on your PC, you might see the following screen with “Issue: LonelyScreen is blocked by your Windows firewall” message if Windows Firewall is running with default settings.

If you see the message, please click Fix It (Administrator) button and then click the Yes button when you get the UAC prompt to unblock LonelyScreen in Windows Firewall.

Step 4: Now that you have unblocked LonelyScreen in Windows Firewall, you will see the LonelyScreen window. As you can see in the picture below, the default name of LonelyScreen receiver is LonelyScreen which is the name you will see on your iPhone or iPad in AirPlay receiver’s list.

To change the default receiver name, please click on the default name, type the new name, and then click Save.

Step 5: On your iPhone or iPad, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to reveal the Control Center.

Step 6: In the Control Center, tap AirPlay Mirroring. Your iPhone/iPad will now start looking for AirPlay receivers. In a few seconds, you should see LonelyScreen receiver there.

NOTE: If you cannot see AirPlay mirroring button, please swipe horizontally to find the AirPlay mirroring option.

If you cannot see LoenlyScreen receiver there, it’s likely because you have not turned on Wi-Fi on your iOS device, or it could also be because your iPhone/iPad and Windows 10 PC (where you have installed LonelyScreen) are not on the same Wi-Fi network.

Step 7: Finally, tap the LonelyScreen entry (or whatever you name it) on your iPhone/iPad to begin mirroring your iPhone/iPad screen on your Windows 10 PC or device.

To stop mirroring iPhone/iPad screen on Windows 10 PC

Step 1: On your iPhone/iPad, swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen to open Control Center.

Step 2: Tap LonelyScreen (or the name that you have set for the LonelyScreen receiver on your PC). If you cannot see LoenlyScreen, please swipe horizontally to see it.

Step 3: Finally, tap Turn Off AirPlay Mirroring to turn off the mirroring immediately. You may now turn off Wi-Fi, if you wish to do so.
