Getting a head start on iPhone 13 pre-orders
Apple is also introducing a few new pickup, payment and delivery options in addition to shipping with Apple.com or in-store, according to this announcement on Apple Newsroom:
Apple is making it easier than ever for customers to get ready for pre-orders of iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini. From now until tonight at 9pm PDT, customers can get a head start on pre-orders by choosing their iPhone 13 model, selecting how they want to pay and leaving the product in their shopping bag, so they’re only a click away once pre-orders open.
Now’s a good idea to ask Siri to “set an alarm for iPhone 13 pre-orders tomorrow at 5am PDT” (or 8am EDT or 1pm EDT or 2pm GDT) for delivery from September 24.
You can also trade in your old phone, with better quotes than before.
Apple’s Trade In program is quick and simple. In an Apple Store, customers receive instant credit toward a purchase or an Apple Gift Card to use anytime. For those trading in products from home, Apple will send a prepaid trade-in kit to package the old device. As always, if the device isn’t eligible for credit, Apple will recycle it for free.
As an example, Apple gives you up to $1,000 in credit when trading in their old handset. Visit apple.com/shop/buy-iphone/carrier-offers for additional terms and requirements. Lastly, Apple has introduced new options to pay monthly. And just like before, you get rewarded for paying for any Apple product with your Apple Card by getting three percent Daily Cash back.
How to pre-order iPad mini 6
The new sixth-generation iPad mini is available to order now from Apple.com. The tablet is scheduled to land on store shelves and start shipping to customers from Friday, September 24. Get yours via Apple’s Buy iPad mini webpage in one of these colors and storage capacities.
- Space Gray
- 64GB (Wi-Fi): $499
- 64GB (Wi-Fi + Cellular): $649
- 256GB (Wi-Fi): $649
- 256GB (Wi-Fi + Cellular): $799
At the time of writing, Apple.com lured would-be shoppers with a special deal: Purchase a cellular iPad mini from one of Apple’s online or brick-and-mortar stores to get a $200 virtual prepaid Mastercard after you activate the deice on an eligible T-Mobile or Sprint data plan.
How to pre-order iPad 9
The new ninth-generation iPad is available to order now. Orders are scheduled to start arriving at customers’ doorsteps beginning Friday, September 24, which is also when the device will become available in retail stores. To get your iPad mini 9, visit Apple’s dedicated Buy iPad webpage and choose your desired color finish and storage capacity:
- Space Gray
- 64GB (Wi-Fi): $329
- 64GB (Wi-Fi + Cellular): $459
- 256GB (Wi-Fi): $479
- 256GB (Wi-Fi + Cellular): $609
Starting at just $329, this is Apple’s most affordable iPad model. Due to its attractive pricing, this particular Apple tablet is often referred to as “budget iPad”. Though it doesn’t get the latest technology, the low price makes it especially popular with students and cash-strapped buyers.
How to pre-order Apple Watch Series 7
Apple has not yet opened pre-orders for Apple Watch Series 7 at the time of writing. We’ll be making sure to update this article once the new smartwatch becomes available to pre-order. The Apple website hosts a dedicated Series 7 webpage at apple.com/apple-watch-series-7, but it currently offers no purchasing button or a tech specs section.
There was a lot of speculation after Apple unveiled Series 7 because the final result didn’t necessarily match up with the expectations built by rumors. For instance, we didn’t get a flat-edged appearance that solid sources like Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo used to dream about.
How about laser engraving?
Apple offers free laser engraving to personalize your iPad mini with custom text, numbers or emoji. Laser engraving is only available when shopping for your iPad mini on the online Apple store. Apple will happily trade in your old iPad for up to $580 in credit that you can redeem when buying a new model.
Don’t forget about AppleCare+
If you’re afraid of unintentionally breaking your Apple shiny, add an optional AppleCare+ protection plan at the time of purchase or after up to sixty days. AppleCare+ covers broken screens and other physical damage not covered by standard 1-year warranty.
In most cases, AppleCare+ can be paid in full for up to two years of protection.
For some devices, Apple lets you purchase AppleCare+ as an ongoing monthly subscription. If you see that option, you may want to choose it to continue your protection after your two years have expired. AppleCare+ typically includes up to two incidents of accidental damage protection every 12 months, each subject to a service fee.
