So, you can repair an app by resetting it. If the issue persists even after resetting an app (which is very unlikely), one can reinstall built-in as well as third-party apps to address issues. When you reset an app, Windows 10 deletes the app’s data as well.
The only catch is that the app reset feature can’t be used to reset classic desktop programs.

Step 1: Open Settings app. Navigate to System > Apps & features. If you are running Windows 10 Creators Update, please navigate to Apps > Apps & features instead.
Step 2: Look for the entry of the app that you want to repair by resetting it. Click on the app to see Advanced options link. Click Advanced options link to open Storage usage and app reset page.
Step 3: Here, click the Reset button. When you see the confirmation dialog with “This will permanently delete the app’s data on this device, including your preferences and sign-in details” message, please click the Reset button to reset the app.
Once the app is successfully reset, you will see a check sign next to the Reset button on Storage usage and app reset page.
Try launching the app now. It should now work fine without any issues. If the issue persists, you can consider resetting the app.

Repair Windows 10 apps by reinstalling them
Most of the app issues can be fixed by resetting, but if you are still experiencing issues, you can reinstall the app to resolve the problem.
Step 1: Open Settings app. Navigate to System > Apps & features. In Windows 10 Creators Update (14997 or later), you need to navigate to Apps > Apps & features.
Step 2: Look for the app that you want to reinstall. Click on the app to see the Uninstall button.

Step 3: Click the Uninstall button, and then click Uninstall button again when you see the confirmation dialog to remove the app.
Step 4: Once the app is removed, launch the Store app, use the search field to find out the app and then install the same.
