If you’ve subscribed to Office 365 Home, you can share the Office 365 applications and benefits with five others.
Office 365 Home offers the newest version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, and Access applications. Besides these applications, each person gets 1 TB of storage space on OneDrive, 60 Skype minutes per month (not available in all regions/countries), 50 GB mailbox storage and advanced protection against malware and phishing for your Microsoft account.
Coming to the device restrictions, Microsoft now allows you to install Office 365 on an unlimited number of devices but can be used on six of those devices at the same time.
You can share your Office 365 Home subscription with five others by inviting them to join your subscription. In this guide, we will see how to share your Office 365 with others.
Sharing your Office 365 Home subscription via email or link
Step 1: First of all, fire up your web browser and head over to this Microsoft account page.
Step 2: Sign in with your Microsoft account that you used to purchase or subscribe to Office 365.
Step 3: At the top of the page, you will see the Sharing tab. Switch to the same, if not selected by default.
NOTE: If the Sharing tab doesn’t show up, it may be because you are not subscribed to Office 365 Home, or you are attempting to share the Office 365 subscription someone shared with you!
Step 4: In the Share Office with your household section, click on the Start sharing button.
NOTE: A missing Start sharing button signals that you don’t have an Office 365 subscription. Office 365 Personal cannot be shared with others.
Step 5: Clicking the Start sharing button reveals the Share Office pop up with two options: Invite via email and Invite via link.
The Invite via email option lets you send the Office 365 invitation to the email address of the person whom you want to share your Office 365 with. Use the Invite via link option if you don’t know the email address of the other person.
Remember that people who you want to share the Office 365 subscription with should have a Microsoft account and use the same to sign-in to Office 365. If they don’t have one, they need to create one.
Step 6: To invite a person via email, type his/her email address (Microsoft account that he or she wants to use with Office 365 subscription), and then click the Invite button to send the email containing the invitation.
Likewise, to invite someone via a link, click the Invite via link option, copy the sharing link that shows up on the screen, and then send that link via email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
Step 7: The person with whom you shared the email or link, will have to click on the link (if you shared via link) or click the Accept button (when shared via email).
Step 8: Clicking on the link or the Accept button will open You’re invited Office page. Click the Get started button.
Step 9: Clicking the Get Started button takes to the sign-in screen. Sign-in using the same Microsoft account where you received the invitation. If you received the invitation via a link, be sure to sign in using a Microsoft account.
Step 10: That’s it! You will now be redirected to the Office 365 Home page.
To install Office 365, click on the Install Office link, click the Install button when you see a pop up to download the web setup, run the same, and then follow the straightforward directions to download and install Office 365 on your PC.
If Office 365 is already installed on your PC, simply sign in with your Microsoft account email address to which you received the invitation.

Stop sharing your Office 365 subscription
For any reason, you want to stop sharing the Office 365 with a person, complete the given below steps.
Step 1: Visit the Sharing page and sign in with the same Microsoft account that you used to subscribe to Office 365.
Step 2: On the Sharing tab, in the Other people section (scroll down the page to see), click the Stop sharing link next to his/her email address.
