How to use the new Outlook.com to share your Facebook and Google Photos

August 5, 2020 by Martin6

Microsoft’s new Outlook.com comes with some perks for users who use Facebook and Google Photos to share and store their photos.
On the site, Microsoft is including new options for users integrate their Facebook account and Google accounts so that they can share their pictures directly from there without needing to go to download the picture to their local PCs and share directly and manually. Technically, the same functionality is available to users of the current Outlook Web app, but the new implementation is so much better. For starters, it has its own dedicated page and is accessible without needing to launch an email, you can also share photos directly, as well as view all your pictures from the photos hub –including ones received via email.

Here’s how to integrate Outlook.com with Facebook and Google Photos

  1. Open the Outlook Web App and sign into the New beta experience for Outlook. At the lower left menu bar, there will be a photo icon which takes you to the new photo-hub. Alternatively, you can simply head to this link to go there directly.
  2. Now that you’re in the Photos Hub, you can sign in to either Facebook or Google Drive. Microsoft will then import your photos for you in an easily viewable photo gallery.
  3. Once there, you can now attach your pictures and share them to any email. It’s probably not going to be ideal sharing scenario for a 20-something-year-old, but perfect for sharing those Christmas or holiday photos with Grandpa and Grandma. It’s also useful if you have photos of documents or receipts synced into Google Photos.
