HTC 10 Evo Specs, Features And More

HTC announced Tuesday the newest phone in its lineup — the HTC 10 Evo.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 810 processor and lacks a 3.5mm audio jack. It looks similar to the HTC 10 flagship device and has what HTC calls “sculpted-by-light” design. The 5.5-inch display is larger than the HTC 10 and comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection but has the same QHD resolution. Its 16-megapixel rear camera comes with a f/2.0 BSI camera sensor and supports Optical Image Stabilization and Phase-Detection Auto Focus, while the 8-megapixel front camera comes with a front-facing flash. It offers 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.

A cool feature of the device is the HTC BoomSound Adaptive Audio technology — the phone’s audio system will automatically adjust to the ambient sound/noise. Following the trend set by phones such as the iPhone 7 and Google Pixel, the HTC 10 Evo has also ditched the 3.5mm audio jack. Instead, its USB-C charging jack doubles up as the audio jack. The smartphone ships with USB-C adaptive earphones. It comes with an inbuilt fingerprint sensor which HTC claims has a 0.2 second response time. It can also be used to lock apps.

The Evo will get its power from a 3,200 mAh battery. The company claims the device can last up to a full day of regular usage on a single charge. It also features quick charge technology.

The device comes with Android 7.0 – Nougat OS out of the box. It has IP57 certification, which means it can withstand up to 1 meter of water up to 30 minutes. HTC Evo 10 comes in gunmetal, glacier silver and pearl gold colors.
