The recent Windows 10 Creators Update has struck again. This time, it is in the form of a missing Command Prompt entry in the WinX Menu (Windows Key + X). Return of the Command Prompt

Getting the Command Prompt back to its rightful home is dead simple. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Use the Windows Key + I Hotkey to open the Settings App
  2. Choose Personalization
  3. Choose Taskbar
  4. Drill down the list of options in the right-hand panel until you see Replace Command Prompt with Windows PowerShell in the menu when I right-click the start button or press Windows key+X
  5. Toggle the switch to the Off position
