Hulu might be best known as a regular streaming service with movies and TV shows, but it also has a live TV subscription, similar to YouTube TV or cable service. More channels are now being added to Hulu Live TV, including The Weather Channel and some Hallmark networks.

Hulu’s live TV subscription starts at $69.99 per month. In addition to Hulu’s regular library of on-demand shows and movies, the live TV subscription includes channels like ABC, CBS, Fox, ESPN, Syfy, the Disney Channel, and many others. Despite its occasional price increases, it has remained a popular alternative to traditional cable and satellite TV, especially since Hulu has apps on all major platforms.

Hulu has now added even more channels to its lineup. The main standouts are The Weather Channel, which broadcasts live weather information and documentaries, and the Hallmark Channel, which primarily airs movies and TV shows. Hallmark is especially popular around this time of year, as the network is known for producing the entire world’s supply of holiday movies. Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is also available, and Hallmark Drama is available with the Entertainment Add-On. Finally, Comedy.TV has been added, which airs a mix of live concerts, talk shows, sitcoms, game shows, and other content.

A few more channels will roll out on December 1, including six from the music video conglomerate Vevo — specifically, Vevo Pop, Vivo Hip-Hop, Vevo Country, Vevo ’80s, Vevo ’90s, and Vevo Holiday. Other channels arriving on the same day include TheGrio Television Network, JusticeCentral.TV, and a Spanish version of The Weather Channel.

More channels are often used as a reason to raise prices, and sure enough, the service will increase to $75/mo next month. The last price increase was nearly a year ago, when it jumped from $65 per month to $70.
