Install Gnome-Pie circular application launcher for Linux Ubuntu Systems. The Gnome Pie application launcher is inspired by OPie, a World of Warcraft addon. It is made of several pies, each consisting of multiple slices. The user presses a key stroke which opens the desired pie. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:simonschneegans/testing
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gnome-pie
Once installed, open the Gnome Pie from Ubuntu Dash. Once opened, you will only see an indicator in the panel bar. You will have to press Ctrl-Alt-A to open the pie or press the icon and select preferences to set it.
By clicking on the “General Settings”-button in the tool bar, you can specify some behavior options. For instance you can enable Startup on Login or set a Global Scale factor. Additionally you can limit the maximum number of displayed items per Pie and a distance beyond which Slices cannot be selected. Furthermore you can select a theme which skins all of your pies to match your taste.
