Install Stacer on Ubuntu – CCleaner Alternative for Ubuntu

How to install Stacer on Ubuntu. Stacer is CCleaner for Ubuntu [alternative], a Linux system optimizer and monitoring tool. Stacer optimizer tool provides CPU, Memory, Disk and System information. It also comes with a system cleaner to clean the system cache and trash. Users can also clean app cache, system logs or crash reports.

It also allows to manage system service, such as bluetooth, console, cron and many others. And best of all it show every single details about processes, such as PID, %CPU, %MEM, Vsize and others.

The Stacer app also comes with an uninstaller. Users can directly uninstall applications and packages from here. Advanced users can manage startup applications using the app. Users can either add an app or delete an existing one.

Distribution independent installation

  • UninstallRun sudo bash uninstall-stacer

You can also download Stacer AppImage for Ubuntu from the official website and make it executable using the command sudo chmod a+x stacer*.AppImage. Now simply run ./stacer*.AppImage.

Please note that if you see some error messages while processing, install the missing dependencies with the command apt-get install -f.

Debian x64

  1. Download stacer_1.0.8_amd64.deb from the Stacer releases page.
  2. Run sudo dpkg -i stacer*.deb on the downloaded package.
  3. Launch Stacer using the installed stacer command.
