Is Battlefield V Worth it in Late 2019? A Late Review | Can the Battle Royal Mode (Firestorm) Save BF V?

Battlefield V Review

EA, Electronic Arts, Battlefield

In the past few years, EA hasn’t been able to release a game without controversy, and the same thing happened with Battlefield V. The game was surrounded with all types of controversies from political ones to controversies due to missing gameplay features and because of all of these issues, the game didn’t exactly sell well. After a few months of updates and optimization, it’s time to take another look at Battlefield V and see if it’s worth it right now.

A Lot of Content

Since Battlefield V has been out for a good amount of time now, EA has had enough time to release new content for the game. Battlefield V definitely has enough content for you to be able to have fun for a very long time and you don’t have to spend any extra money as the game doesn’t have a season pass. You can access to a bunch of maps, the battle royal mode, the story mode, and a bunch of different game modes. Of course, the story mode isn’t going to blow you away or anything but it’s nice to have. Battlefield 5’s main feature is the multiplayer mode so, the single-player mode is very short and not very fun. If you only want a story mode, Battlefield V may not be worth it for you.

Not a Lot of Players

I have tried out Battlefield V on the PC and Xbox One and I have noticed that it takes a good amount of time to find a Firestorm match or join a Grand Operation. You can join the conquest mode and find a full match easily but, if you want to try out the other game modes especially Grand Operation or Firestorm you will have to wait for a few minutes to find a match but, the issue is that when you finally join a match it’s usually empty or only has 16 people in it which is the minimum amount of players required. A Firestorm or Grand Operation match with only 16 players is unbelievable boring!

Battlefield V Worth it?

If you want to pick up Battlefield V you should wait for the game to go on sale. Right now, it’s defiantly not worth anywhere close $60 but, you can easily find a game key from a third-party for about $30. Battlefield V for $30 is definitely worth it unless you want the game for the single-player mode. If you enjoyed Battlefield 1, you will most likely enjoy Battlefield V as well.
