Windows 10 Tip: How To View Game Performance in Game Bar

As of Windows 10 Insider Build 17704, a new feature has been added in Game Bar that lets you check how your PC performances during current hardware, not only for games but virtually any apps you run on your PC.

To view the Game Performance for certain app or game, launch the app or game first and press Win + G to launch the Game Bar. You will see a new game bar that looks very different from the old one.

There is a section dedicate for Performance with tabs like FPS, CPU, GPU, and RAM. If you are checking on a Game or video playback, each tab not only tells you the current measurement number but also graphs it as you play the game. You can easily tell how much of each resource the game has been consuming during the period.

Move your cursor over Performance title, a popup icon shows up. Clicking on it opens the Performance bar right on your desktop so you can keep monitoring the performance even when the Game Bar is closed.

Have you noticed that it even has a switch that enables or disables the Dedicate Resources feature on the fly.

There is also an Audio section as well as Game capturing section that still lets you record your game progress or take a screenshot what’s happening right at the moment.

It’s still early in the beta for this new Game Bar feature. We will see how it turns out in the final release.
