The ASUS NovaGo was announced back in December 2017 and its availability has been patchy to say the least. Now, almost a year after its introduction, the always connected, LTE packed Windows 10 ARM laptop is finally available in the UK for £700.

To get one you’ll need to visit John Lewis, though exactly whether you should is out for debate. It’s a decent looking laptop, but when introduced, the Snapdragon 835 was the top of the line chip for these ARM-powered Windows machines. We’re now further along with the dedicated Snapdragon 850 starting to appear in devices like the Samsung Galaxy Book2, so a full price laptop on a last-gen chip becomes a harder sell.

Besides the Snapdragon chip you also get 6GB of RAM, 128GB SSD, a 13.3-inch 1080p display, a fingerprint scanner for Windows Hello and of course, LTE connectivity. You also get excellent battery life, which is one of the other big positives to an ARM PC along with the always-on data connection.

Personally, the NovaGo was the launch device for Windows 10 on ARM that interested me the most, as I’d always choose a laptop over a 2-in-1. The NovaGo isn’t particularly expensive in the grand scheme of things, but it might have been an easier recommendation had it hit the UK’s store shelves six months ago.

Nevertheless, it’s here, and finally we can join in the ARM laptop revolution.
