The codename of Linux Mint 19.2 has been announced as “Tina”, in tribute to Tina Turner and her song ‘The Best’ (aka ‘Simply the Best’).
Linux Mint lead Clement Levebvre reveals the name in his latest latest Mint Monthly update. He remarks that he wants the upcoming release to be, in the words of Tina Turner’s hit song, “simply the best”.

Meet Linux Mint 19.2 “Tina”
Linux Mint 19.2 “Tina” is the next major update in the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS-based 19.x series of Linux Mint. It follows on from the well-received releases of Linux Mint 19.1 & Linux Mint 19.
Although the planned release date of Linux Mint 19.2 is as-yet unknown — though you expect it sometime in late summer — early details on what the distro plans to ship with are.
Linux Mint 19.2 is to include performance improvements to the Muffin window manager. The aim? Making the task of managing windows feel “smoother” and “lighter”.

Big updates are also coming to the Update Manager. The ‘Blueberry’ bluetooth applet will let users connect to and disconnect paired Bluetooth devices in a single click.
There’s also plans to further improve the contrast and sharpness of the ‘new’ Mint-Y GTK theme.
Alas, there’s still debate as to whether or not the release will use the new Linux Mint logo.
Linux Mint 19.2 will be available in both 32-bit and 64-bit builds across three distinct editions: Cinnamon, MATE and Xfce.
