Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite gets Xbox Play Anywhere support

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite launched last year and gamers wanted it to be an Xbox Play Anywhere experience like Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. However, the publisher chose to sell the Xbox One and PC versions separately upon release.

Today, rather unexpectedly, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite was listed as an Xbox Play Anywhere game. This means that you can purchase the title on either Xbox One or Windows 10 and play it on whatever device you want. There’s no need to purchase the copy again, and saves should carry over from one platform to the other.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is a fighting game which focuses on the clash between the two storied universes. The Marvel vs. Capcom franchise has been around for a while now, and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite was a highly anticipated game. Capcom even brought Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 to current-generation consoles to hold players over.

Gameplay focuses on iconic characters teaming up for action-packed combat in single-player or multiplayer matches. The story revolves around Ultron Sigma — a hybrid of both characters — as he embarks on the systematic eradication of all biological life. Against all odds, heroes arise from the rubble, form new alliances, and stand together against the ultimate threat. However, their only hope lies with the mystical Infinity Stones.
