Windows 10’s upcoming updates are going to make the operating system work better with Android and iPhone devices. Microsoft will offer a number of connected experiences that will allow users to easily transfer their work between their smartphone and Windows 10 PC. But due to the lack of Microsoft’s Edge browser on Android and iOS, that’s getting increasingly harder for Microsoft.
Now, a new report from FrAndroid claims that Microsoft could be bringing Microsoft Edge to Android and iOS in the future. The company is currently planning on making Edge cross-platform, which will likely enable it to take the cross-device experiences in Windows 10 a small step forward. By bringing Microsoft Edge to Android and iOS, the company will finally let users of Edge in Windows 10 sync their bookmarks and browser history with their smartphone, and that’s a really important feature for some. The browser would also have strong Bing integration, according to the report.
For now, take this with a grain of salt. We have reached out to Microsoft for an official statement on this, and we will update it with more info if we hear back.
