Microsoft Surface Pro 8 configurations spotted online in a new leak

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3 are some of our favourite products, but they don’t offer the best value anymore, especially after the introduction of the new Intel processors and graphics.

It looks like the Surface Pro successor is still on track to launch in the first quarter of 2021 and we have another reason to believe the rumours.

According to product pages leaked by European retailers, Surface Pro 8 could arrive in early 2021 with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage, and LTE option is also being considered.

If the now-removed listings are accurate, Surface Pro 8 will be using a 12.3-inch PixelSense display with a pixel resolution of 2736 x 1824. The main disappointment with the next-gen Surface Pro is that it would use the display of the Surface Pro 7 and core design of the device has remained unchanged.

Thunderbolt connectivity, which is one of the top requested features, won’t be included in the Surface Pro 8.

Surface Pro 8 is expected to use 11th-gen Intel Core i5 processor with Intel Xe graphics for improved gaming performance. As per the leaked benchmarks, the next-gen Surface might use Core i7-1165G7, which is part of the 11th-gen Tiger Lake lineup and it makes perfect sense.

The base model could come with 11th-gen Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of memory and 128GB of internal storage. As we mentioned at the outset, Microsoft is also planning to bring LTE connectivity to the Intel-powered Surface Pro lineup in the United States and Europe.

The LTE enabled Surface will be sold with either 8GB RAM or 16GB RAM.

Of course, it is possible that the leaked product pages and benchmarks belong to an early sample model, and the original product could be better.
