Moto Edge 40 Pro renders leaked ahead of launch, showcase design

 

The Moto Edge 40 Pro launch is expected early next month and leaked renders have revealed the phone’s design. The device is expected to be launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023, which will be held in Barcelona from February 27th to March 2nd. The latest rumours come courtesy of a tipster, which showcases the design renders of the Moto Edge 40 Pro. Earlier, the same source had posted about colour and storage options on the new Motorola smartphone and suggested it could bear a price tag of EUR 850 (~ Rs 72,263) in European markets.

Moto Edge 40 Pro design highlights

The Moto Edge 40 Pro renders, as per the report, show off two colour variants – Black and Blue. The Moto Edge 40 Pro will be the rebranded version of the Moto X40 that was launched earlier in China. The design on the Moto Edge 40 Pro hence looks familiar. The design renders highlight the 3D curved front display panel, a metal frame that wraps around the body and a frosted glass back.

The front camera sensor is housed in a hole punch cut out at the top centre of the display. The rear camera system with its triple sensor setup is housed in a rounded square. The Moto Edge 40 Pro gets its volume rockers and power button on the right edge while the bottom edge can be seen to house the speaker grilles and the charging sport.

Moto Edge 40 Pro specifications

The Moto Edge 40 Pro will get a 6.67-inch curved OLED display with an FHD+ resolution, 165Hz high refresh rate and DC dimming support. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and is expected to be paired with 12GB of RAM and 2356GB of internal storage. The Edge 40 Pro will run on Android 13 OS.

The Moto Edge 40 Pro will get a triple camera system consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 50MP wide-angle camera and a 12MP telephoto sensor. The front camera duties will be taken care of by a 60MP snapper. The Edge 40 Pro will sip juice from a 4,600mAh battery with support for 125W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The device will get an in-display optical fingerprint scanner for biometric security.
