Destiny’s 2 For PC Looks Stunning In 4K And It’s Free For Select NVIDIA Customers

The beta version of the award winning franchise, “Destiny 2”, is now available via pre-order for PlayStation 4, X-box One and PC, and you can watch the PC versions first ever gameplay in stunning 4K.

Nvidia recently announced at E3 2017 that they are working with Activision and Bungie to bring to PC for the first time ever the much-anticipated sequel of this action game.

As a result of this alliance, Nvidia is giving away copies of “Destiny 2” for free if you buy a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti or GeForce GTX 1080 4K-capable graphics card or a PC rig or laptop with one of the two GPUs integrated with it. This promotion runs from June 13 until June 27, so if you want to get the bundle offer, now is a good time to move on it. The Nvidia GTX 1080 (which we reviewed here) and stunning GTX 1080Ti GPUs (available on sale at Amazon) are some of the consumer market’s only truly 4K-optimized graphics cards, with the power to regularly push out 60fps+ for a broad variety of games in ultra HD and with high detail levels activated. So far only Nvidia’s own Titan X 2017 Pascual card (check out our review of it here) outshines the two GPUs in the 4K PC gaming arena.

The plot of “Destiny 2” is set one year after the events of “Destiny: Rise of Iron”. Your adventures will take you across the solar system to wage war against the Red Legion of the Cabal, a military-industrial empire of massive amphibians that attack The Last City with overwhelming force. The scattered Guardians most reunite, fight back and discover the secrets of their forgotten past while and aiding allies in need of a legendary hero.

According to Destiny 2’s website, the game “provides an unprecedented combination of cinematic storytelling, thrilling solo adventures, and cooperative, competitive, and public gameplay — all seamlessly woven into an expansive online world”.

If you have a GeForce GTX PC or a similar high-end graphics card you will be able to run Destiny 2 at 60 frames per second –or even at higher rates- and in 4K resolution. The below footage offers a tantalizing first look at “Destiny 2: Homecoming” gameplay. It was recorded at UHD 2160p at 60 fps from a computer with a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti card running.

NVIDIA has now for decades been on the forefront of the PC gaming trend. GeForce GTX 10-Series GPU’s are especially precision-built to give the best performance and rock-solid reliability for pc gamers, while greatly reducing input lag and frame dropping.

Destiny 2 is expected to be released worldwide on September 6, 2017, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the PC version is scheduled to be released on October 24.
