The iPhone X will hit the shelves on Friday, November 3 and we’re still hearing about the new features which it will have in store for users. With that said, there is a small addition made in the iPhone X which will probably remain exclusive to the device. That’s right, the iPhone X features a new ringtone called “Reflection” which will be set as a default ringtone on the device. Up until now, the ‘Opening’ ringtone was available as the default ringtone since the release of iOS 7. So let’s dive in to see some more details on the matter.

Apple Changed Default Ringtone To ‘Reflection’ On iPhone X, Also Exclusive To The Device

As we have mentioned earlier, the new ‘Reflection’ ringtone will be exclusive to the iPhone X and is the default for the iPhone. However, if you’re a fan of the ‘Opening’ tone, it is still present in the list of sounds that you can choose to set as your ringtone. So you can simply change the default ‘Reflection’ ringtone to ‘Opening’ from the sound settings.

Moreover, the ‘Marimba’ ringtone is also available for users in the list so if you’re feeling nostalgic, you can simply set it from the Settings app. It’s definitely good to see that Apple is not removing these ringtones in exchange for new ones. Opening and Marimba are one of the most popular ringtones on the device and since they are available on the list, you can choose one of them to be your ringtone at any given time.

In order to change the ringtone, all you have to do is go to the Settings app on your iOS device and then navigate to Sounds. Once you do that, simply enter the Sound pane and you’re good to go, you can select your desired ringtone. Check out the new ringtone below for more details.

Do take note that this is the very first time the company has launched a ringtone which is exclusive to a specific iPhone model. If you start using the iPhone X and out in your iCloud account to restore the settings, you will not see your ringtone change. However, if you’re setting it as a new device, ‘Reflection’ will be the new default ringtone. If you want to change the default ringtone after restoring your iPhone X, you can do so in the Settings app.

This is it for now, folks. We will detail more information on the iPhone X’s ringtones as soon as we hear them. What are your thoughts on the new ‘Reflection’ ringtone available as default on the iPhone X? Share your views in the comments.
