Next-Gen 7nm AMD Ryzen Threadripper to Change the Market For Ever (Leaks and Rumors)

Thradripper 3rd-gen will be Powerful!

If you have been following the news, you probably know that AMD’s next-gen 7nm Zen 2 CPUs are going to be very powerful as for the low price of $199 gamers are going to be able to get their hands on 6C / 12T CPUs which means that you will be able to get your hands on a powerful CPU for a very low price. With this CPU, you can do gaming and some light video editing which was not possible a few months back at this price point. If Zen 2 is going to be this powerful then 3rd-gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper is going to change the market forever.

AMD Zen 2 Leaked Benchmark

Thanks to Geekbench, we have gotten our hands on benchmark scores for AMD Ryzen 3000’s most powerful CPU, the Ryzen 9 3950X which is going to feature 16 cores and 32 threads as well as a boost clock of 4.7 GHz but, the CPU is running at 5.2 GHz in this benchmark. The AMD Ryzen 9 3950X is reportedly going to launch with an MSRP of $750. As you can see below, this CPU is going to be extremely powerful as it scores 6,714 in single-core and 64.953 multi-core in the Geekbench benchmark. For comparison, the $2000 Intel i9 9980XE scored 5,528 in single-core and 60,124 in multi-core.

Threadripper Going to be Very Powerful

If the gaming AMD Zen 2 CPUs are going to be powerful enough to beat Intel’s $2000 CPU at the low price of $750, it’ll be interesting to see what next-gen Threadripper is going to deliver. Ryzen is for gaming and Threadripper is for productivity which means that it’s going to be way more powerful AMD Zen 2 in benchmarking apps like Geekbench. If a $750 CPU delivers this kind of performance, it will be very interesting to see what kind of performance we can get out of a $2000 Zen 2 CPU.
