Forza Motorsport 7 July update brings new cars from Porsche and Top Gear

The July update for Forza Motorsport 7 is set to launch on July 10. And while Turn 10 Studios is waiting until the launch to post full release notes, the studio has teased some of the cars that players will be able to get their hands on alongside the update.

At the top of the list are the Porsche Spotlight cars, which will be available for free for all Forza 7 players. The two cars include the 1971 Porsche #23 917/20, along with the 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Alongside the Porsche rides, Forza 7 will also pick up the Top Gear Car Pack, which is included for free for Car Pass owners. Here’s what’s included:

  • 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast
  • 2018 McLaren 720 S
  • 2017 Vuhl 05RR
  • 2018 Exomotive Exocet Sport V8 XP-5
  • 2018 KTM X-Bow GT4
  • 1964 Porsche 904 Carrera GTS
  • 1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta

In addition to new cars, the July update will unlock all “exclusive” cars, allowing cars that were previously only available from completing certain events to be purchasable with in-game credits. The update will also remove all car-related crates from the Prize Crates system. The only crates left will contain driver gear, badges, and mod cards.

In terms of upcoming events, Forza 7 players will be able take part in a set of new Rivals events, including a Porsche-focused recreation of the 1971 Le Mans race in which the the Porsche #23 917/20 ran. The next Leage Season will also kick off in mid-July as well.

The Forza 7 July update will be available tomorrow, July 10, with full release notes and changes in tow. For now, you can jump in and start racing for $59.99 (though it’s currently on sale for $37 at Amazon).
