At its event in October 2016, Microsoft said the Windows 10 Creators Update would launch in early 2017. And according to a report Thursday, the update may be rolled out April 11.
The update, codenamed Redstone 2, is expected to go live for both PCs and smartphones next month, MSPoweruser reported citing unknown sources. The rumor is in line with a statement from PC company Dell, made at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January, that the update would be available in April. Additionally, the Thursday report said the release date could be officially announced by the end of March or the first week of April. The final version of the operating system is expected to be ready by next week, after which the company is expected to run tests and fix bugs before rolling it out.
The Windows 10 Creators Update is expected to bring new features including 3D content creation, a new Edge browser and a much awaited Game Mode.

Microsoft has not given out any confirmations on the update’s release. The company announced last Wednesday it had made improvements to the Windows 10 Creators Update which would let users upgrade to the operating system smoothly, without suffering from issues such as sudden reboots.
Currently, the Microsoft Windows 10 Creators Update page states: “Product under development; features, timing and devices are subject to change,” indicating that the timing of the launch could still vary as it has done with past updates like the Windows 8 update.

If you are a part of the Windows Insiders Program, you will get access to the update sooner than regular users.
Tech Times reported Friday that Microsoft has already started working on its next update, which could be codenamed Redstone 3 and launch in Fall 2017.
