A catch and a PokéStop a day will keep extra XP, Stardust, and items coming your way!
Now that the Halloween event is over, Pokémon Go is setting up its next great ploy to keep us all playing — daily bonuses.
We want to provide you a detailed look at a new feature coming soon to Pokémon GO – Daily bonuses! You’ll earn a larger bonus if you do this seven days in a row!

If you catch a Pokémon at any time on Tuesday local time, you’ll be eligible for the next daily bonus on Wednesday at 12 AM local time.
Halloween was good to me. I walked my Dratini for 80 KM and got around 60 candies. (Still not enough for a Dragonite, though, alas). I also managed to evolve or hatch a Golem, Aerodactyl, and Kabutops, nicely rounding out my Pokédex. (Still never so much as glanced at a Lapras or Muk in the wild, though…)
Coming down off the 2x candy high is tough, though, and everyone is already wondering what might be in store for the winter holidays. Events help bridge the gap from now to then. And I like the idea of extra XP and I like the idea of extra Stardust even more.
With the initial rush is over, Pokemon Go needs to figure out ways to keep people engaged. Loyalty mechanic do just that — you’re rewarded for regular play, which habituates you to playing, which creates more rewards.
Will is be enough, though? Or does Niantic have to consider releasing new Pokémon into the wild sooner rather than later?
Update: The 6th great nest migration has also happened, according to Silph Road, so while you’re out, update all your spawn info. My closest nest went from Charmander to Slowpoke to Clefairy. I wander what’s next?
