realme C55 will be the company’s first smartphone with an “island” in the display

realme is preparing to introduce a new model C55. The company released several teasers that revealed the specifications and release date. The main feature of the smartphone will be the “island”, but the cutout for the front camera will not get bigger.

Analog Dynamic Island from realme will be called Mini Capsule. So far, there is only one image and a description of its functionality. The cutout will still remain round and small, and the “island” will be implemented in software. It will expand while receiving notifications and while charging. It can also be used to check the number of steps taken and the Internet traffic limit.

The C55 will feature a 6.72-inch 90Hz display with Full HD+ resolution and a maximum brightness of 680 nits. The performance will be responsible for the MediaTek Helio G88 processor, 6 or 8 GB of RAM. According to the amount of internal memory, modifications to 128 and 256 GB are available. The smartphone will run Android 13 and realme UI 4.0 shell. The resolution of the main camera will be 64 megapixels, front – 8 megapixels.

The smartphone will be equipped with a 5000 mAh battery and 33-watt fast charging. Support for virtual RAM, a memory card slot, NFC and a Dirac audio system is also announced.

The price and start date of realme C55 sales will be announced during the presentation on March 7th.
