Xiaomi’s all-new Redmi Note 12 lineup was launched recently in China and now, two of the models in the lineup have been spotted on the IMEI database in their global avatar. The devices are also expected to enter the Indian market sometime soon albeit in a rebadged form.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro series utilises the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC which is fabricated on TSMC’s 6nm process. The Redmi Note 12 Pro twins also get OLED displays, a triple camera setup, a 5,000mAh battery, and fast charging support.
Redmi Note 12 Pro twins spotted listed on the IMEI database
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 12 series debuted in China last week and comprised five models – the Redmi Note 12, the Redmi Note 12 Pro, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, and the Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition and another Racing Edition. The Redmi Note 12 and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ have now been spotted listed on the IMEI database in their global variant avatar. These new global variants are codenamed Ruby which is the same as their Chinese counterparts, indicating that the devices are likely to be the same.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ carry the model numbers 22101316G and 22101316UG as per the listing. The device model numbers too coincide with the Chinese variants. However, it is expected that the devices will be launched in India under Xiaomi’s banner.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ are expected to be called the Xiaomi 12i and the Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge in India respectively.
