Reliance Jio’s free ‘Happy New Year’ is expiring on 31st of March. So, there will no longer be free voice calls, SMS & 4G data. However, that’s not the end to the awesomeness of Jio. While Jio services will be chargeable from the 1st of April, Jio is introducing the ‘Jio Prime Membership’. Prime membership will allow the subscriber to continue to avail the benefits offered under Jio Happy New Year offer for 1 more year i.e. till 31st March 2018.

- 100 SMS Free (per day) to Any Network in India
- Free Unlimited 4G data (per day) – 1GB 4G data & unlimited data thereafter at 128Kbps
- Unlimited access to Jio TV
- Unlimited access to other Jio services – Jio Music, Jio Cinema, Jio Mags; etc
Hence, you can avail all benefits of the Happy New Year for 1 more year i.e. till 31st march 2018. The prime membership is basically a paid extension of the Happy New Year offer.
Prime Membership applications will only be available to those subscribers who are already using Jio SIM card. So, you should be a Reliance Jio user before 31st March 2016 in order to join the Jio Prime membership.
Price & Charges of Prime Membership
Jio Prime is priced nominally at Rs. 99 for 1 year. After being a member, you can recharge with Rs. 303 at any point to avail the above-mentioned benefits for 30 days.
It will no longer be free, but the price of Rs. 303 per month is fully justifiable for the services offered. You get free calls, sms and data along with amazing Jio apps for just Rs. 303. Other operators only provide about 2-3GB of 4G data for the same price.
The amount of Rs. 303 roughly converts to Rs. 10 per day. This is even cheaper than the price of a ‘Samosa’ in many of our Indian cities 
How to Join/Enroll for Jio Prime Membership?
Enrollment for Jio Prime will be available starting from March 1st and ending on March 31st. Only present Jio subscribers can avail the offer. So, if you do not have a Jio SIM already, be sure to grab one in the coming days as the offer will not be available after 31st of March. If you want to activate the benefits on your main number, then you should port-in your number to Jio network at the earliest.
Android Users
- Enrollment will start from 1st March.
- Join/port into Jio network before 31st of March.
- Open MyJio app or login to your account on Jio website (jio.com).
- Click on the banner to join Prime membership.
- Make the payment of Rs. 99 via Cred/Debit Card, NetBanking or Jio Money wallet.
- You’ll be successfully enrolled for Jio
- Recharge with Rs. 303 in the month you wish to enjoy the free calls and data offer.
To activate the Jio Prime membership, you need to recharge your number with Rs. 99. You can make the payment by using the MyJio app on your phone or by accessing your account on the Jio website. You can also use the Jio Money app to pay for the recharge amount. And if online payments isn’t something for you, you can also visit the Jio retail stores to get the recharge done 
Enrollment Process for Lumia Windows Phone/Mobile Users
Jio apps are not available for Windows Phone. But if you’re using the Jio SIM for data in Windows Phone then you can also subscribe to Jio Prime pack. You can simply open the Reliance Jio website (Jio.com) to recharge your number. Else you can visit a Jio retail store.
Enroll on Sailfish OS Phones – Jolla/Intex Aqua Fish
Sailfish OS users can download the MyJio app from the Play Store and follow the instructions from the Android section. If the MyJio app does not work on your Intex Aqua Fish, then you can also recharge online by accessing your account from Reliance Jio website at Jio.com.
